Darcy G. Richardson for Governor

Darcy G. Richardson

Darcy G. Richardson believes that it’s time to end the hyper-partisanship and needless polarization of American politics. He wants to bring a genuine independent voice to Tallahassee that speaks for everyone in the Sunshine State, rich and poor alike.

In addition to having more than 15 years of experience working in the financial services industry, Darcy is the author of more than a dozen books on American history and politics. His work earned a prestigious Outstanding Academic Title (OAT) award in 2005 and was highlighted in Newsweek magazine’s July 2010 issue.

Long active in politics, Darcy has rubbed shoulders with some of the best-known political figures of the past half-century. In addition to managing one of Minnesota Senator Eugene J. McCarthy’s campaigns and serving as a senior advisor in another, Darcy ran for Pennsylvania Auditor General in 1980 and for the U.S. Senate eight years later on the Consumer Party ticket.

In 2012, he offered himself as a protest candidate in several Democratic presidential primaries, briefly challenging Wall Street’s increasingly corrupt influence on the Democratic Party and the nation’s body politic.

Darcy has appeared as guest on numerous nationally-syndicated radio talk shows, ranging from the progressive “Thom Hartmann Show” to Joseph Farah’s conservative “WorldNetDaily Radioactive” program. His writings are included in the collections of the Bill Clinton presidential library at the University of Arkansas, the Gerald R. Ford Library and the new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.
